Our Story
BenchMark Home Services is an extension of Capozzi Design Build. Ruthann (Anne) Capozzi, a third-generation cabinet specialist, founded Capozzi Design Build in 2004 with her husband, Kevin Gray. Then, they created BenchMark Home Services in 2020.
Our History in the Industry
Anne’s father and great-uncle were both master cabinet makers, so Anne grew up in the cabinetry shop. Then, she discovered her passion for custom home design. To help locals love their houses, Anne started Capozzi Design Build over 20 years ago.
Now, Capozzi Design Build is the only husband-and-wife-led design-build company serving northeast Ohio. Capozzi has won several awards for design and craftsmanship and received dozens of positive reviews and five-star ratings from happy customers.

What’s more, Anne has become a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). She was also the first Certified Living In Place Professional (CLIPP) in Northeast Ohio.

As Capozzi Design Build wowed one client after another, Anne and Kevin saw the opportunity to begin a second business providing accessible remodeling, rapid cabinet replacement, kitchen and bathroom refresh, and home upgrade services to the greater Cleveland area. So, they launched Benchmark Home Services.
